WHY DO WE CALCULATE OUR CARBON FOOTPRINT?

We don't calculate the carbon footprint of our garments to boast about low numbers. We do it to show that our production, like any other, has an impact on the environment.

In the grand scheme of things, the difference between a t-shirt emitting 8 kg or 10 kg of CO2 is relatively insignificant. What's significant is how many t-shirts you buy. If you and one billion others buy one less t-shirt per year, we can save 10 million ton CO2. That's 10 times more than Oslo's yearly footprint. A challenging goal, but worth pursuing.

HOW DO WE CALCULATE OUR CARBON FOOTPRINT?

While reducing consumption is still the most effective action we can take for the planet, it is also very important for us to minimize our footprint. To calculate current emissions and strive for future reductions, we collaborate with the company Variable. In our calculations, we utilize their extensive database along with average emission data provided directly by our main producer, Utenos.
