A QUICK INTRODUCTION

Northern Playground was born because of our love to challenge conventions. It all started with us challenging the industry on the usage of zippers.

This gave us the inventions Ziplongs®, Zipbody™, and Zipbra™. One day, we wondered if we could do the opposite of the rest in terms of productions: Moving parts of it to Norway, specifically Tøyen in Oslo. In the last few years, we have been crazy enough to offer free repairs on our clothes. And most importantly, we are not embarrassed to speak loudly about how the textile industry is broken. We are not even close to the finish line, and we are ready to challenge ourselves again and again.

Because the industry has seen a frighteningly small amount of development since the industrial revolution, with the biggest losers being our planet and laborers working for far less than fair wages.

Our vision is therefore to reduce the world's clothing consumption, and we plan on doing this by turning the entire textile industry's classic business model upside down. While "everyone" else is telling you that this year's products are better than last year's, we are telling you to keep your clothes for as long as you can. Preferably forever.

So please, wear your clothes as long as possible, repair them when necessary, buy local, buy quality and buy products that won't go out of style!

Northern Playground consists of a small group of people that don't have much of a background from the clothing industry. We have touched on a lot of other areas and industries, and have become pretty good at challenging truths. Luckily for us, because this industry sucks and new ideas are way overdue.

We are also regular people that don't have olympic golds or thousands of followers on Instagram. Our concepts are strong enough in themselves and we don't need a tired old celebrity to convince you.

The company is owned by its entrepreneurs, employees and customers. In total we have over 600 owners, 8 being entrepreneurs/employees and the rest being customers. We're pretty proud of that!
